Our Announcements
WICC is pleased to announce that the start of the month of Ramadan 1444 will be on Thursday March 23. The first Taraweeh prayer will be on Wednesday March 22 at 9 pm in’sha’Allah.
WICC would like to wish our community and all Muslims a happy and blessed Ramadan.
We ask Allah (SWT) to unite our hearts, keep us on the right path, bless our community, and accept our fasting, prayers, and good deeds.

Waterbury Islamic Cultural Center (WICC), established in 2019, is an inclusive community for all, in the Greater Waterbury Area, who believe in Allah (SWT) and his Beloved Messenger Muhammad (SAW).

At WICC, a widely diverse community of Muslims from across the globe and the United States, Sheikh Ashraf is the director of all Islamic Studies, and provides counseling to our community members in a variety of areas including marriage and family, spiritual and social affairs, as well as providing classes and support for our revert community

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
“Among what continues to accrue for a believer of his good works after death are the following: knowledge that he learned and then imparted to others, a pious child whom he left behind, a copy of the Qur’ân that he bequeathed, a mosque that he built, a guest house he built for travelers, a river that he made to flow, and charity he spends from his wealth when he is in good health – all of this continues to avail him after his death.” [Sunan Ibn Majah and Sunan al-Bayhaqî – and graded as good (hasan) by al-Albânî]
